About the job
The Higher Education Participation and Partnerships Program (HEPPP) Project Officer is part of a team that provides high level administrative support for projects within Office of the PVC – Student Engagement. This position contributes to the Department’s delivery of HEPPP projects and will assist the planning, conduct, evaluation and reporting of activities to achieve HEPPP goals in the areas of retention, employability and personal development, as well as a number of Student Engagement initiatives. This position is broad in scope and requires a high degree of teamwork, an ability to prioritise and be customer service focused to deal with a range of functions and tasks.

About the Organisational Unit
The Office of the PVC- Student Engagement provides senior strategic leadership and co-ordination of student academic support & career development, engaged learning and student personal and professional development programs. It builds on existing programs and develops new initiatives that contribute to supporting, developing and enhancing the academic life and success of Swinburne University of Technology’s students. Student Engagement works with all areas of the University and focuses its activities on the learning and teaching priorities to develop engaged self-directed and globally aware learners and develop enrichment programs that contribute to the personal development of students.

Skills and experience
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
• Completion of a degree in project management, administration or business with some subsequent relevant work experience and/or extensive relevant experience in project, resource or event management.
• Demonstrated ability to undertake desktop research, report writing and project management.
• Ability to independently review and evaluate systems, implement solutions and ensure continuous efficient project management.
