About the Role
Working in our 24/7 therapeutic care homes in Wollongong, youll work directly with children & Young people with trauma backgrounds, complex disability and/or high medical needs providing trauma informed support, mentorship and care.
Youll undertake a variety of day-to-day duties such as;
If you have experience in youth work, disability, mental health or medical needs and you possess a solid understanding of complex trauma and its impacts on children and young people, we are keen to hear from you!
To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical exemption certificate. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.
Skills & Experience
A diploma in community services, youth work or related OR possessing relevant experience and willingness to undertake a diploma level qualification is a requirement of this role. A qualification is desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience.
If you are currently studying a relevant Diploma or have prior relevant experience and are willing to enrol in a Diploma of Child, Youth & Family Intervention, we welcome your application as we will support you to complete a Diploma of Child, Youth & Family Intervention at no cost with our preferred Registered Training Organisation.
