About the job

The Recruitment Events Assistant is responsible for assisting with the planning and organisation of major events such as those linked to VTAC campaigns with the objective of growing student recruitment through generation of enquiries and raising awareness of the Swinburne brand.

The role supports recruitment event logistics, including venue management, coordinating event set up, liaising with event presenters and suppliers and arranging collection of leads from prospective students.

The Recruitment Events Assistant will support the Recruitment Events Specialist to ensure Swinburne fulfils sponsorship packages linked to Student Recruitment objectives.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Completion of an associate degree/diploma level qualification in marketing/ Communications or equivalent with relevant work related experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Experience in event administration or coordination
  • Excellent time management skills including the ability to prioritise and manage numerous tasks to tight deadlines
