Dental Assistant

Busy, technologically advanced, premium inner-western Melbourne dental practice seeks a full time dental assistant / nurse to join our team.

We would consider a person looking for permanent part time.

Communication with our patients is key, so you must have excellent english language skills.
You should have at least 12 months experience as a dental assistant in private practice.

Based near Highpoint Shopping Centre, we have 8 treatment rooms with the latest technology, to make for a great working environment, and a great patient experience.    Our patients love us!

We have 7 dentists and 5 hygienist/therapists, and open 6 days a week.    Our clinical team do a lot of endo, oral surgery, Invisalign, braces, crown & bridge and place implants.    We have 2 practice locations in the same building (Hampstead Dental and Smart Choice Dental).  We are privately owned (NOT a corporate).

Our whole team of 52 staff is very close-knit and work well together.  We always have a nurse with our hygienist/therapist, and we have a dedicated steri nurse. We are very busy clinics, and have the team to support it.  We are a culturally diverse team, and acceptance of our teams diversity, as well as being non judgemental of our patients, is a core value which makes this a great place to work.

We take infection control very seriously, and we also provide communication skills training (Momentum) so that you can better assist your patients and team (and you) to have a smooth running, effective day, with a full lunch break, and get to go home on time.  Quite a different approach to the normal world of dental.

We offer full time hours over a 9 day fortnight .  2 Saturdays per month.   Wages and conditions are among the best around.  Days are negotiable, however work will entail alternate Saturdays

As we are looking for someone to join our team long term, we are not interviewing foreign trained dentists awaiting their ADC, nor people looking to move to Australia.
