We are seeking an outstanding Academic leader with strong teaching and scholarly research record to contribute to the School of Science.

About the job

The Dean will be responsible for the academic leadership and operational management of the School of Science. Reporting to the Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Faculty, the Dean will work collaboratively with other Deans, Associate Deans, Centre Directors and Department Chairs to develop and implement strategies to support the university in achieving key objectives and targets in line with Swinburne Strategy 2025. This role will ensure alignment with the University’s strategic direction to enable the university to become a world-class university creating social and economic impact through science, technology and innovation.

You will have outstanding research and management experience as well as possessing a collegial style. You will have superior leadership skills and the ability to continue Swinburne’s strong links to industry and the capacity to grow the external profile of the schools.
