Managing a team of 5 direct reports, we currently have a rewarding position available for a Team Leader, HDR Admissions & Scholarships to commence immediately.
In this role, you will have primary responsibility for a wide range of administrative functions and will ensure that matters related to research scholarships are handled efficiently and effectively. In addition, you will also be responsible for the management and review of all processes and documentation, and the dissemination of information related to research admissions, including associated sanction processes within Swinburne University. To achieve our 2025 vision, you will be looking for new ways to improve processes to drive efficiencies in the department. You will have an interest and will be experienced with introducing IT initiatives, the education sector, excellent customer service skills and a can do attitude.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• A degree with substantial subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise in administrative fields; or an equivalent combination or relevant experience and/or education/training.
• A sound knowledge of the Australian tertiary education context, particularly in relation to research education and research administration.
• Excellent information technology skills, including the capacity to learn new programs, and experience with databases.
You are also someone who is a hands on manager, supportive and a positive team player.
