The National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA LTD) is a not for profit company, owned by Swinburne University of Technology and established to create world-class training for the contemporary circus and physical theatre industry.

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced H.R Consultant to undertake a full review of NICA’s policies, processes, and procedures to ensure full compliance with Swinburne, legislation and government requirements. 
Reporting to the Executive Director of NICA, the successful candidate will have experience in implementing and recommending change as well as providing advice and support regarding a broad range of HR Issues.

Skills and Experience 
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources or Industrial Relations, or relevant field with extensive experience or equivalent combination of experience and management and/or education and training.
  • Demonstrated experience in change and project management.
  • Demonstrated experience in reviewing, implementing and recommending changes to organisational systems, procedures and policies.
  • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders to achieve business goals and objectives and resolve issues.
  • Ability to understand, interpret and provide advice regarding H.R issues.
  • Experience and interest in an Arts environment is highly regarded.
