About the job
Our Innovation Precinct is seeking a customer focussed professional who is interested in advancing their event and communications experience, while taking their career to the next level. In this role, you will act as the face of the Precinct, welcoming and assisting visitors, and ensuring the smooth running of activities in the Fire Station, by managing the facilities, room bookings, and providing support to the Innovation Precinct team. You will work with a level of independence, and collaborate closely with a small, supportive team. With direction from the team, you will help plan and run events, including pitch nights, masterclasses and accelerator programs. You will be the key contact for organising catering, event logistics and set up, as well as supporting event promotion and communications, and post event analysis. This is a varied and fast-paced role, suitable for candidates seeking to advance their event management and communications experience.
NB. The role requires some after-hours work in the evenings.

About the Innovation Precinct at Swinburne
Home to Swinburne Innovation Precinct, the Fire Station is a space dedicated to entrepreneurial activity, encompassing a business incubator for startups, co-working space, Design Factory Melbourne, a central innovation hub and event, staff and meeting spaces. The Innovation Precinct is a Swinburne Research enterprise that connects people to the knowhow they need to solve challenges and reach outcomes that have social and economic impact.
