About the job
This role is an exciting new addition to the University Advancement team and will be responsible for providing administrative and secretariat support to the Director of Development and Director, Alumni and Operations whilst also being the administrative point of contact for the Alumni Engagement and Development teams.

The Assistant to the Directors, Advancement, will report to the Director of Development and will be responsible for:

  • Diary management for the Directors
  • Coordination of meetings/events, credit card reconciliation, travel bookings
  • Manage stationery/office equipment purchases for the units and
  • Coordinating donor contacts
  • Administration support for recruitment and on-boarding of new team members
  • Provide secretariat support for occasional meetings


Skills and experience
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Demonstrated relevant experience in the provision of high quality administrative and secretariat support services.
  • Strong organisational skills, including ability to co-ordinate meetings, attention to detail and an ability to plan and prioritise functions and tasks with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
  • Highly proficient computer skills in particular MS Office Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and online recruitment systems
