About the job
As a trade qualified and experienced Toolmaker/Fitter Machinist, you will be part of a team of skilled tradesman producing specialised parts to support the various disciplines and research centres within the Faculty.

Reporting to the Fabrication Manager, this role is based in our workshop where you will operate various manual machines such as lathes, mills, and surface grinders, amongst other equipment, to manufacturing mechanical components.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:

• An appropriate Trade qualification in Fitting and Machining and/or Toolmaking.

• Experience in the manufacture of components & equipment from basic drawings supplied by staff, students and researchers.

• Skilled in the use of a wide range of manual machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and grinders.
