About the job
This newly created role will lead a large team of academic and professional staff delivering student academic skills & career development, work integrated learning, and student access and advancement initiatives. Student Engagement supports Swinburne’s Future Ready Learner Strategy, leading in employability and business creation, and delivering an outstanding personalised student learning and engagement experience. The Director Student Engagement will play an integral role in the delivery of key projects through the student engagement lifecycle and will contribute to the creation of our learning ecosystem. This highly engaged role will work internally and externally to design and implement student support strategies and innovations, and lead a sustainable program of student development and engaged learning to ensure our students are successful in their academic pursuits
About you
To be successful you will be PhD or equivalent qualification, with a national reputation as a thought leader in student experience. With experience in leading student engagement within the tertiary education sector, you will be able to demonstrate success in the design and implementation of strategic plans, programs and services that support success for a diverse range of students. As a natural leader with outstanding interpersonal skills, you will be able to connect with and support a large team, and network effectively internally and externally with key partners.
