About the job
Operating within the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), the Learning Designer works under the direction of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education and Quality) whilst reporting directly to the Director Learning Transformations. As our Learning Designer, you will support academic staff across the University to design their curriculum in line with education led, best practice approaches to learning, teaching and assessment across blended and online delivery modes. This includes the uptake, development and evaluation of learning technologies, resources and pedagogies to enhance teaching quality, and support student learning across Swinburne, in pursuit of the Swinburne 2025 Plan
About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• Relevant degree and/or extensive relevant experience in the areas of learning design and development
• Demonstrated commitment to, and experience in, innovative approaches to developing units and courses for blended learning
• Demonstrated experience in working with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Experience in supporting tertiary educators to effectively use technologies for learning design (including blended learning, assessment design and e-portfolio implementation)
