Key Competencies / Responsibilities:

Product and Technical Knowledge

  • Highest level of BFA brand portfolio and technical drinks knowledge

  • Possesses top level liquor industry category knowledge

  • Deliver internal and external training sessions

  • Understand and recommend new concepts / idea’s to the business

  • Deliver trade advocacy programs for BFA portfolio

  • Contribute to industry leading internal and external product and technical knowledge training programs

  • Participate in global and regional trade advocacy initiatives as required

  • Contribute to date drink strategy database/cocktail library

Strong Communicator

  • The ability to present in engaging and informative manner to trade and / or consumer groups.

  • Construct meaningful brand and business dialogue during customer discussions

  • Collaborate with relevant internal partners to ensure emerging trends and consumer behaviours are well understood

  • Communicate the value proposition for the customer

  • Present commercial scenarios fluently

  • Evaluate effectiveness of all advocacy and training initiatives

  • Manage local market trade advocacy and development budget

Territory, Account & Time Management

  • Build territory plans that delivers both qualitative and quantifiable objectives

  • Pre-plan a minimum of 3 objectives for each sales call

  • Efficiently and effectively manage time to deliver objectives

  • All accounts to be called on / contacted as required

  • Seek new business via planned and prepared cold-calling

Sales Administration

  • Evaluate territory and account plans within set timings

  • Activate and evaluate brand activations within set timings and budgets

  • Obtain scan data from outlets

  • Analyse data - extract commercial and consumer insights to develop new strategies

  • General internal account maintenance

Local Channel and Consumer Event Activation

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to execute events

Qualifications & Requirements

Must Requirements:

  • Significant experience within a small bar or industry leading drink making environment

  • Broad product and technical drinks knowledge

  • Experienced presenting to small and large groups

Preferred Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in a business related field

  • Experience in FMCG selling environment

  • Commercially astute

  • Socially networked with the bartender community
