SCOPE:
Support both the sales and trade marketing functions by executing promotions that leverage key channel strategies and increase consumer demand, strengthen customer relationships and deliver profit within the region. Responsible for coordinating the promotional and merchandising initiatives for Brown-Forman’s Travel Retail business in the ANZ region.
The Marketing and Sales Coordinator Travel Retail – ANZ is responsible for ensuring promotions meet regional goals and objectives, are on time, stay within budget and are aligned with local markets when applicable. Responsibilities will also include day-to-day trade marketing and sales support for all Travel Retail customers across Australia, New Zealand and when required the Pacific Islands and Asia region, as defined by managers.
MAIN FUNCTIONS:
Trade Marketing and Promotional Planning and Execution
Partner with Trade Marketing Manager – APAC Travel Retail to:
Assist with the timely development and management of promotional calendars and merchandising actives.
Support the preparation of annual Brand Plans for ANZ Travel Retail and assist in evaluating the results of all initiatives.
Manage and track the marketing budgets
Coordinate point of sale materials including gift with purchase items
Manage activities and needs of regional in-store sales consultants and promoters, recommending areas for development. Conduct promoter and brand trainings as required.
Conduct and share research regarding the Travel Retail shoppers and retail customers for the region.
Articulate brand, marketing, and commercial strategies to customers
Co-Lead, with the Trade Marketing Manager, the planning and execution of the annual TFWA APAC Trade Show. Lead, manage, or attend other B-F and customer events as required.
Complete evaluations for all promotions and merchandising activity including sales uplift analysis and cost review.
Conduct frequent, in-store market visits to regional duty free outlets to assess and report on BF and competitor activity. Travel as requested by managers.
Sales and Commercial Support
Partner with the ANZ Travel Retail Manager to:
Understand and respond to both customer and brand marketing needs, including creation of marketing materials (lightboxes, displays), training materials, and customer presentations.
Build relationships with sales and marketing contacts across key customers head offices and outlets and work with ANZ Travel Retail to make sales calls and present material as required
Manage all invoices and rebate processing across sales and marketing activities
Compile monthly report for region including review of competitors RSP and activities, B-F promotional activity and sales results/uplift
Manage and monitor the NPD stock processes, ensuring committed deadlines are met
Ongoing Collaboration and Partnership with Customers, Internal and External Partners
Maintain a spirit of partnership to:
Collaborate with internal and external partners, including global GTR team and work with B-F Design, B-F Legal, the Travel Retail Commercial Team, agencies and suppliers to ensure optimal execution.
Collaborate with B-F global marketing, supply chain, regional GTR leadership, and customers to ensure NPD delivery and adequate stock management of both products and promotional materials.
Collaborate with ANZ Local Marketing Team to keep up to date with local brand strategies and activity.
Assist in sales and marketing Ad-Hoc projects as defined by APAC Trade Marketing Manager and ANZ Travel Retail Manager.
Required to attend frequent calls out of normal office hours to support marketing and sales collaboration across both internal departments and customers.
MUST REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of various sales and customer marketing experience.
Experience working with and managing outside agencies
Fluent in spoken and written English
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent presentation skills
Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Aptitude to learn quickly and to apply learning to tasks and tools (Paxsmart and IWSR)
Some travel and working outside set business hours
