About the job
This position reports directly to the Associate Director, Student Professional Development and supports the delivery of career development programs and resources in collaboration with career consultants and faculty academic staff to enhance the employability of all students. This will include online and blended learning modes to ensure all Swinburne students have access to career development programs and resources. The appointee will use current career development theories, frameworks and best practices in the design of career programs and resources. 
The position will also oversee the delivery of key academic units within Student Engagement, such as Future Work Skills, including the unit coordination and development and management of associated resources in collaboration with academic and administration staff.

STUDENT ENGAGEMENT
The Office of Student Engagement provides senior strategic leadership and co-ordination of student academic support & career development, engaged learning and student Engagement initiatives. It will build on existing programs and develop new initiatives that contribute to supporting, developing and enhancing the academic life and success of our students.  Student Engagement focuses its activities on the learning and teaching priorities to develop engaged self-directed and globally aware learners; and to develop enrichment programs that contribute to the personal development of students.

Skills and experience
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
•    A degree in a relevant discipline, e.g. Career Development, Social Science, Business or Education, supported by relevant industry experience,  or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and / or education / training
•    A postgraduate qualification in Career Development 
•    Experience in tertiary/teaching including a record of teaching and curriculum development.
