An Academic Support Officer is required to provide a wide range of professional services to support the Department Chairs and the departmental academic staff. The successful applicant will facilitate compliance with University and Faculty processes and aim to achieve efficiencies and effectiveness in administrative processes and procedures. The role forms part of an administrative team that works to deliver seamless service delivery across the School in order to support the strategic aims of the executive.

Skills and Experience 
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or completion of an associate diploma and subsequent relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • A high level of confidential administrative support to senior management
  • A high level of organisational and time management skills and the ability to manage competing and conflicting deadlines
  • Analytical skills and the ability to review and evaluate systems to ensure continuous efficient office management
