About the job
The Research Administration Officer is responsible for providing support to research active staff in the Faculty, to achieve the centre’s leadership, management, research and administrative objectives. This role is also responsible for pro-actively supporting the day-to-day Centre activities, ensuring that all administrative matters are prioritised appropriately and handled efficiently, effectively and professionally. 

To ensure consistency of administrative practices, the Research Administration Officer reports to the Team Lead Research Support Services. The Research Administration Officer position will work across a number of Centres and Departments within Faculty of Health, Arts and Design.

Skills and experience
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
• Completion of a bachelor degree with extensive relevant executive administration experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate, liaise and work with people at all levels, both internal and external to the University with tact, maturity and appreciation of sensitive issues
• Excellent written communication skills - including the ability to research; prepare reports, policy documents presentations and to take accurate minutes
