About You

Reporting to the Associate Director Global Partnerships, you will provide high level advice and support to RMIT University stakeholders on global education partnerships that deliver RMIT programs to students outside Australia. You will work collaboratively across the Global Portfolio and with internal and external stakeholder groups to maximise the performance of those partnerships.

You will support the development of new global opportunities, including the creation of partnership agreements for program delivery in multiple countries, and facilitate university processes to ensure key activities are progressed in a timely and effective manner.

Additionally, you will have high level technical skills in partnership management and development, as well as knowledge of and experience with relevant regulatory and academic environments. 

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:

  • Experience with management and administration of global education programs.
  • Proven skills in costing large programs or projects, and in undertaking financial and statistical analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, including in cross cultural environments, as well as highly developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong conceptual, analytical and research skills.
  • Extensive understanding of the tertiary education sector in Australia and in relevant foreign countries and of the financial, legal, regulatory and academic issues relevant to transnational education.
  • Experience in project management in an international setting.
  • Experience in stakeholder and account management strategies and experience using relevant CRM systems.
  • Proven ability to champion collaborative approaches to work and adopt agility and resilience to take on new tasks and challenges in light of a constantly changing external environment.
  • A bachelor’s degree and preferably a postgraduate qualification.

About the Portfolio

The Global portfolio supports RMIT's efforts to build international partnerships, manages RMIT's offshore delivery partners, and supports the University's offshore business development activities. It provides expert support, guidance and services to University staff and education partners on a range of international partnership activities. Global has a strong focus on converting opportunities and relationships into firm outcomes and deliverables for the University.

The portfolio works closely with colleagues across RMIT and with partner institutions and organisations across the world in an effort to: 

  • Lead and contribute to the development of new international partnerships and growth agendas
  • Manage and oversee international partnerships and collaborations
  • Provide expert support and services to University staff and education partners on a range of international partnership activities
