About the role

You will identify and engage prospective donors, building strong relationships to raise philanthropic funds, supporting the University’s vision and strategy. You will drive the formulation and execution of targeted fundraising and donor engagement plans.

You will;

  • Build and drive relationships with potential individualistic and organisational donors and manage these to maximise return for RMIT
  • Develop, manage and convert a strong philanthropy pipeline, annual fundraising plans and donor engagement strategies
  • Facilitate the sharing of knowledge and know how relating to philanthropy across relevant areas of RMIT globally
  • Serve as a key leader in fundraising for RMIT, nurturing and growing a culture of philanthropy and fundraising capacity of RMIT staff

 

About you

You will have;

  • A number of years of experience and a proven track record in fundraising within a major organisation, including cultivation, gift closing and stewardship
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
  • Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills with the ability to work effectively with Portfolio staff, academics, administrators and students as well as potential donors
  • Strong track record and proven ability to engage and develop team capability to achieve stretch objectives.
