We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Employee Journey Expert to join the Culture and Engagement squad. You will be part of shaping the culture and employee experience at ANZ by designing and delivering impactful and commercial approaches to drive behavioural change, embed culture and foster a thriving, engaged workforce.

About the Culture and Engagement Squad

In the Culture and Engagement squad our focus is on defining and embedding the culture we need to achieve our purpose and strategy and energising our workforce through understanding and improving the employee experience at ANZ (EX).

Our priorities in culture include embedding our newly defined culture behaviours in people processes and systems and designing and delivering engaging initiatives to drive sustained cultural change. Our priorities within employee experience include the design and implementation of ANZ’s listening strategy and solutions so that we can better understand employee sentiment, perceptions and behaviours and translate insight to action.

About the role

This role is focused on culture and engagement initiatives across ANZ as part of our Talent and Culture function. The role is part of the Culture and Engagement squad in the PLACE (Performance, Leadership, Culture and Engagement) product area.

Role location: 839 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008 (may also be open to Sydney, Auckland, or Wellington)

Role Type: Permanent, Full-time

Working as part of a team, you will:

  • Play a leading role in the design and delivery of culture and engagement initiatives, from concept through to planning and implementation
  • Solve complex problems by drawing on your own and others’ skills, experience and expertise, leveraging data, and by researching, exploring and experimenting
  • Own and deliver pieces of work independently to a high standard and at pace, and deliver through others by creating shared clarity on the work
  • Build relationships, manage and influence stakeholders and balance conflicting stakeholder needs
  • Contribute to a thriving team, by fostering a positive, safe and supportive team environment, supporting others to build their capability and collaborating to achieve outcomes.

What essential skills and experience do I need for this Employee Journey Expert role?

  • Organisational development expertise, ideally with experience driving cultural and behavioural change
  • Demonstrated track record implementing people initiatives in large, complex organisations.
  • Consulting and delivery skills – strong ability to quantify problems, surface needs, scope, plan and deliver work while collaborating effectively with multiple stakeholder groups
  • Conceptual thinking, coupled with the ability to translate ideas into pragmatic, impactful solutions
  • Excellent facilitation and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Adaptability and ability to navigate and drive for outcomes in a complex, fast changing environment
  • Data savvy – able to draw on data for insight and to guide decision-making.

  • Expertise in areas such as: culture/cultural change, organisational behaviour, organisational psychology, employee research or employee experience
  • Communications and change experience
  • Agile, Design Thinking and Human Centred Design experience
