About the Role
Role Location: Melbourne- 75 Dorcas Street, South Melbourne
Role Type: 5 (Five) Permanent, Full time vacancies
The purpose of this role is to assist ANZ in becoming the fastest and safest mover of funds both domestically and globally. This role ensures that ANZ customers spanning across all segments are provided with a quality, consistent and efficient payment experience, even when manual intervention is required.
The role is responsible for the successful processing of Inward and Outward Domestic, Real-time Gross Settlement (RTGS), cross-border and clearing services Payments that fall into an exception handling queue.
This is achieved through:
being a subject matter expert on Payment Processing standard operating procedures, taking ownership of complex cases and consistently looking for ways to improve customer and banker experience
doing things right the first time, demonstrating exemplary standards of quality
providing guidance and training to fellow Payment Specialists
ensuring all processes are documented and fully compliant
managing enquiries and escalations, informing team leaders and/ or management of concerns and issues as and when they arise
assisting the Team Leader in completing their duties
demonstrating an expert level of knowledge in the Payments landscape including clearing streams such as SWIFT, RTGS, BECS and NPP
demonstrating an expert level of knowledge of Payments Industry standards such as SWIFT formatting and Financial Crime Standards
provide SME advice to the broader business in support of strategic projects, initiatives and new business
Senior Payment Specialists require a Growth and Service-based mindset in order to deliver great customer outcomes whilst also maintaining risk discipline centered around ANZ, Industry and Regulatory standards.
About You
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Knowledge of Domestic and International Payment streams is preferred (SWIFT, RTGS, NPP, Direct Entry)
Proven ability to effectively plan and coordinate incoming work and enquiries
Demonstrated problem solving ability
Demonstrated ability to make correct decisions under pressure
Possess a Service-based mindset with strong customer focus
Detail oriented with a concern for quality
