About the Job
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a creative Marketing professional to join our team as a Content Writer. The Content Writer will play a key role within the broader Marketing team to develop, implement, and maintain content across numerous formats and channels, including writing website content, electronic communications, brochures and case studies. As the Content Writer, you will add value by engaging with stakeholders, collaborating with our in-house creative, strategy and production teams, and will be central to supporting key brand, campaign, acquisition and retention activities for our Commercial division.
We are seeking an innovative and forward-thinking individual to develop and deliver outstanding content that tells stories, engages audiences, and aligns to the Swinburne brand. You will be responsible for creatively and accurately translating briefs to develop optimised content that assists with student and client acquisition, engagement and retention objectives, as well as key brand and reputation measures.

The commercial marketing team provides marketing services to a number of business units who engage with and service commercial clients in the form of corporate and private organisations (B2B), government departments and government agencies, and individual working professionals (B2C). The commercial marketing team functions as a journey squad and operates in an agile and dynamic workplace setting.
About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- A degree in marketing, communications, business or related fields with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated experience working in a copywriting, communications or content development role.
- A thorough understanding of SEO and demonstrated SEO experience.
- Demonstrated experience writing, editing, creating, and producing on-brand and differentiating content for a range of audiences and channels.
- Demonstrated experience implementing content and marketing activities across numerous formats to achieve successful outcomes.
