About role/ you

The Advisor – Engagement (Industry) is responsible for developing and implementing an engagement plan focussed on promoting and building the awareness of the RMIT Career and Industry Experience services.

As the Advisor you will be primarily working with external Industry stakeholders, refining and implementing the teams’ communication strategy, ensuring alignment across RMIT’s communications teams, and coordinating the design, implementation and measurement of all the teams’ engagement communications campaigns.

To be successful in this role you will have, but not limited to:

  • Experience in the develop of Communication and/or Marketing strategic plans.
  • An understanding of how to collect, analyse, and interpret data and information to target campaigns and develop an understanding of audience motivations.
  • Ability to plan and implement digital media campaigns designed to enhance awareness and engagement.
  • Strong professional writing and editing skills, including writing for multiple audiences in various formats in both print and digital environments.

The Students group shapes, designs and delivers key student services and experiences to prepare RMIT students for study, life and the global workforce. We work in partnership with students, academics, professional staff, industry and the community to deliver transformative student experiences that improve access, participation, retention and success for all RMIT students.

The position supports employer engagement to identify and understand employer and industry needs and to source mentoring, employment and volunteering opportunities for RMIT students and recent graduates. As an Employer Services Advisor you will develop, promote and deliver strategically-aligned opportunities and industry / employer activities and events for students on campus and online.

Qualifications

A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Professional Communications or another relevant discipline and/or relevant professional experience at a similar level.
