About the role /College 

The Planning & Project Coordinator works closely with the Project Manager, project team members, business owners and sponsors in the administration and support of a number of small to medium projects across the R&I portfolio.

The Planning & Project Coordinator, under the guidance and oversight of the PM, will coordinate the activities required in delivering the R&I Prioritised projects as well as any overall planning support that may be required including but not limited to any project documentation, reports and communications development.

About you 
Reporting to the Manager, Portfolio and Strategic Projects, you will work closely with relevant stakeholders across the R&I portfolio including the Project Manager, Sponsors, Business owners and project team members in ensuring projects are adequately supported to meet timelines & mitigate risks. You will assist in creating or updating all project documentation including formal governance updates, action log, timeline and risk register, RACI, PIR and any other documentation required for the project

To be successful in this position, you’ll have, but not limited to:

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work collaboratively with academic and professional staff from diverse backgrounds and portfolios to understand the problems and enable finding solutions.
  • Experience in project or initiative delivery, data analytics and visualisation, and reporting.
  • Experience in supporting an organisation or department wide planning and prioritisation process.
  • Problem-solving mindset, always looking for creative solutions to meet stakeholder needs.   
  • High attention to detail whilst working to tight deadlines or changing directions.
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in providing a high level of stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement.
  • High-level proficiency in computer software packages with accuracy, attention to detail and ability to learn new technical skills and excellent writing skills in order to produce presentations and reports on findings.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and their application.

Extensive Higher Education experience, within a similar position, desirable but not essential.
