About You

Reporting to the Senior Technical Manager, Engagement & Process Improvement, you will work closely with Technical Teams, Stakeholders and Senior members of STEM to ensure that service, process provisions and enhancements are developed and implemented within a digital capacity across all teams in a standardised, meaningful and consultative way. You will work with Technical Services management to develop and advise on advanced digital and automated solutions for technical services and their stakeholders.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have, but not limited to:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of application development, testing, deployment, support and maintenance within tertiary education or technical services environment.
  • Understanding of relational database technologies e.g. SQL.
  • Demonstrated experience with Office 365 application development would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of development and delivery of training materials.
  • Strong analytical skills and project management capabilities.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a team and autonomously.

About the College

The STEM College Office Professional staff delivers services to all four Schools across five distinct functions:     

  • Student Lifecycle   
  • Planning & Operations   
  • Technical Services   
  • Program Lifecycle & Governance   
  • WIL & Engagement   

Relevant digital solutions – such as Workday – are used by the five teams to streamline processes and drive operational efficiencies. The Group’s end-to-end professional support ensures a consistent approach to the operational and strategic functioning of the College and adherence to University policies and procedures.   

The STEM College Office professional staff are instrumental in providing students with a transformative and enriched learning experience, and in supporting our research and engagement administration activities. Centralised in the College Office, at our City and Bundoora campuses, professional staff members have opportunities to cross-skill, engage in professional development and develop their own career paths.
