Are you an electrician looking for a role where you can make a real difference in the lives of the next generation of sparkies?
Are you passionate about training electrical apprentices and pre apprentices?

The Trades Engineering and Technology Electrical Department is seeking to appoint suitably qualified and experienced teachers to meet expected further growth in 2023 and beyond.  Teaching will be for units from our current Electrical Training Packages UEE30820 and UEE22020. The requirement is to predominantly carry out teaching and assessment duties within these programs.  

The role of a Swinburne Vocational Education (VE) Teacher is to share their experience and knowledge with students and encourage our students to successfully obtain their qualifications. You will work within a passionate team of trade teachers who plan deliver, assess, evaluate and ensure compliance of high-quality education and training programs.

About You  
You will have passion to teach and to positively impact apprentices, pre apprentices and those already within industry in a way that will encourage lifelong learning.  You will also possess a demonstrated ability to implement high quality innovative teaching and learning programs in a variety of learning modes, reflecting an understanding of successful approaches to Electrical teaching

Qualifications
  • Qualified ‘A’ Grade Electrician with significant experience (Essential)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 (Essential)
  • Solar Accreditation or Qualification and/or Experience (Desired)
