About the role

In this newly created position, you will enable the engagement of third parties for temporary employees in a client-first, compliant, efficient and cost-effective manner through active engagement of key internal and external stakeholders.  Key to your success in this role will be your expertise in fostering relationships along with your ability to think strategically. Joining our People & Culture Services team, this is a permanent full-time position where the preferred office location is Newcastle with the flexibility to work from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the Temporary Workforce Policy
  • Manage the RACI for the policy and procedures, supporting and providing guidance to internal stakeholders to ensure their understanding of their responsibilities
  • Actively influence, communicate and educate users of temporary workforce employees
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure third parties and temporary workers are compliant
  • Partner with Procurement to establish and monitor procedures to ensure line management review of invoiced hours and amounts are representative of hours delivered
  • Partner with Workforce planning team to understand demand drivers of temporary workforce utilisation and establish targets and thresholds of utilisation
  • Establish and monitor temporary workforce utilisation dashboard and provide internal stakeholders and Executive reporting

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, human resources, or similar
  • Understanding and experience in workforce planning
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a temporary workforce, and or temporary workforce providers
  • Experience in writing policies and procedures and developing communications and engagement plans
  • The ability to influence and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including executive-level stakeholders, peers, employees and external organisations
  • Demonstrated success in building new business capabilities and achieving tangible business benefits and outcomes that align with the strategic focus of the business
  • Significant experience in managing competing priorities and to deliver high quality outcomes within agreed timeframes

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check.
