About the Role
We have a permanent full time opportunity for a Senior Child and Family Practitioner based in Hobart to join our state-wide Family Based Care Team. This senior position provides coaching and direction to relevant staff to ensure they understand and fulfil the requirements of their role, promotes reflective and trauma informed practice; delivers relevant practice-specific workplace training and provide assistance and support where required such as some direct case work, complex case reviews, liaising with key stakeholders and other program specific tasks.
The role requires a dynamic and team focused leader who understands the importance of supporting foster carers, delivering quality, evidence-based services to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people and their families. The suitable applicant will provide supervision and 'on-the-ground' case work and support, professional guidance and development that promotes respectful, purposeful casework with children, young people, families and our community partners.
The position offers a flexible workplace (WFH options), comes with a Tool of Trade vehicle (including fuel card), a phone and some travel maybe required.
Please note: The incumbent will be required to participate in an on-call roster.

The successful candidate will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check, Working with Children Check and TAS Working with Vulnerable People Check.
Please note: Mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations may be required for this position, in accordance with relevant Public Health Orders across all States and Territories. In these circumstances, evidence of vaccination will be required prior to an offer of employment.
