About The Role

Role Location: 833 Collins Street Docklands

Role Type: 12-month Fixed-Term, Full-Time

As a Senior Manager BGC, you will lead a team of highly proficient and qualified BGC Managers, Senior and Junior Analysts and support the BGC Lead in overseeing, managing and performing several duties to ensure smooth running and management of key Risk Management disciplines for a program delivery team. The BGC team is made up of two teams and three sub-portfolios (I.e. BAU Operations, Non-BAU Operations and Initiatives) with a clear roadmap for delivery.

About You

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Ability to successfully lead and motivate the BGC team and the business to view risk as part of everyone’s role and adapt to risk management in an autonomous working environment.
  • A proven ability to develop and implement effective operational risk management solutions, including the ability to identify key risks, risk causes and mitigants, controls and treatments.
  • An ability to analyse and synthesise what’s happening both externally and internally for emerging risks. This includes implementing legislative change and interpreting regulatory sentiment in the context of the business leadership.
  • Willingness to look at things differently, challenge the status quo and innovate to deliver better customer outcomes while satisfying operational risk requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to build relationships and influence effectively.
