What we are looking for

As the Senior Technical Analyst, you will ensure that the performance obligations of our Casinos systems and infrastructure are met. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting and/or optimising server and storage software and hardware infrastructure, network software and communication links.

Key responsibilities in the role are but not limited to:

  • Generating and compiling reports based on their findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems availability and performance issues
  • Communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help Technical Analysts identify, communicate and resolve systems malfunctions and also make appropriate recommendations in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems and infrastructure investments
  • Manage and administrate all operating systems and their corresponding or associated software
  • Support Development staff, Technical and Operations Analysts, and end users to define systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues
  • Deploy and maintain firewalls, cryptography systems, and all host security activities
  • Implement disaster recovery plan for operating systems, databases, networks, servers, and software applications
  • Create systems and performance models, specifications, diagrams and charts to provide direction and support to Casinos operations and infrastructure staff
  • Assist database administrators, analyst/programmers, and business/systems analysts in the deployment and performance analysis of new systems and enhancements to existing systems
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new infrastructure
  • Analyse day-to-day functions and processes of software and database resources to ensure they are performing within predetermined guidelines, limits, and specifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 5-year Experience in Linux system administration (essential)
  • 5-year Experience in infrastructure support in a large corporate environment
  • 3-year exposure to Cloud technologies (essential)
  • 3-year exposure to monitoring and automation (essential)
  • 2-year exposure to storage services (desired but not essential)
  • 2-year exposure to Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (desired but not essential)
  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience
