About the Job
As the Senior Lecturer, you will lead the course, contributing strategic direction and working closely with the Chair of Department, and the Associate Deans of Education and Research. You will also contribute to the development and delivery of curriculum in postgraduate entry-level professional courses in the Master of Occupational Therapy and the Department of Nursing and Allied Health. The candidate will participate in the administration and ongoing curriculum development of related courses offered by the department and school and contribute to work integrated learning and progress an active research profile aligned to the strategic direction of the University.

The primary focus of the Senior Lecturer in Occupational Therapy is to provide course level oversight, convene and teach post graduate units, contribute to coordination of academic programs and supervise research students. You will possess a passion to lead, innovate and embrace diversity to enrich the opportunities of colleagues and students in the delivery of the undergraduate and postgraduate courses within the School of Health Science. The incumbent will be expected to carry out educational and curriculum development of both online and on campus learning materials and assessments.

In addition, the appointee will facilitate the overall coordination of curriculum. The incumbent will be expected to function as a member of both discipline-based and interdisciplinary teams to help the faculty to achieve its objectives. The incumbent will be expected to carry out appropriate activities that will maintain and develop their scholarly, research and/or professional expertise.

Location
This position is currently located at the Hawthorn campus in Melbourne, but the incumbent may be required to undertake duties at any of the University's campuses.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:

• A doctoral qualification in Occupational Science or a closely related discipline
• AHPRA registered occupational therapist
• Experience in undertaking teaching, associated administrative duties, coordination and curriculum development.
• Advanced knowledge in one or more practice areas in Occupational Therapy
