What we are looking for

As a Release Manager, you will manage the activities that are taking place in the non-prod environments across all projects / BAU tasks to ensure that planning is effective to minimise impacts to concurrently running work and that impacts and risks are well communicated

Key responsibilities in the role are but not limited to:

  • Extensive Release Management experience in large Technology environments
  • Leading the delivery of the Release management function and business outcomes
  • Acting with integrity and conviction to achieve strategic objectives assigned to Release management function
  • Work effectively with key stakeholders to communicate and collaborate release schedules and model definition.
  • Plan and facilitate release activities across the SDLC
  • Manage and communicate the impact of environment refreshes, release schedules, release status, release scope and escalate key issues and risks where appropriate.
  • Maintain release schedule across all environments including development and Test.
  • Manage different domain release schedules and have strong awareness of infrastructure and application release and change controls, applied across the enterprise.
  • Assume ownership and continuous improvement of the release process by documenting release issues and developing plans to improve process or automation

 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Release Management role 
  • Extensive experience in or working with Release and Change Management roles
  • Comprehensive background in definition of release management process and practices
  • Proven ability to exercise strong and effective leadership in high-pressure situations
  • Strong ability to exercise independent and effective judgement
  • Experience in negotiating with key stakeholders to achieve a win-win situation
