About the Program
The 120 Countdown Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the Driver Licensing Program. This helps disadvantaged communities (including Aboriginal Communities) to obtain, retain and regain a drivers licence to improve access to education, employment, health and other community participation services.
About the Role
Day to day youll be responsible for recruiting, training and providing coordination, leadership and support of our students and volunteer mentors under the guidance of the Driver Licence Program Team Leader. Your key focus will include the below;
- Work towards the defined priorities and outcomes for the Driver Licence Program team and your specific areas of accountability
- Recruit, screen, select and onboard Learner Drivers and Volunteer Mentors
- Manage and maintain relevant systems and project processes (booking and scheduling lessons, maintenance of vehicle fleet and strategic planning to hit quarterly targets)
- Instrumental in the development of promotional material
- Promote the program to Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities and the local Aboriginal community
- Deliver presentations on the Driver Licence Program to communities and key stakeholders and participate in community events where appropriate.
- Deliver training components of the Driver Licence Program services
About You
- Minimum a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Diploma or equivalent and/or demonstrated experience as a Mentor, Facilitator or Coach working with Aboriginal and/or other disadvantage people and their communities
- Demonstrated project coordination or project management experience
- Strong interpersonal skills, time management skills, flexibility, and excellent written and verbal communication skill
- High level proficiency in MS Office (particularly MS Word and Excel); ability to utilise email functions and data management systems
- You are a people person and enjoy encouraging and motivating others
