The Digital team is focused on reinventing and transforming the retail experience to best suit our customers' needs and making their lives easier. We look ahead to continuously assess how we can apply the latest technologies in innovative ways to constantly improve the retail experience.

The Store Customer Platform is accountable for all customer facing technology solutions within Coles Supermarkets and Coles Express.  Primary systems in the Platform's portfolio include the Point of Sale, Assisted Checkout, In Store Scales and Ticketing.

 

In this role you will be responsible for managing some exciting projects within the Customer Platform team. You will be required to lead and build business cases and manage the delivery of complex technology projects, whilst guiding project managers and project teams through the full project lifecycle

 

You will be responsible for the delivery of multiple projects, that will vary in size from small to large for Coles Supermarkets, Coles Express and Coles Online, which will involve working closely with our key vendors and operations business partners, whilst managing resources within the team and other IT teams. 

You will have previous experience successfully managing complex projects that involve cross functional technologies and areas, multiple external parties (including vendors) and previous experience working with critical systems and dispersed teams.

 

 

Key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Ability to manage all aspects of a project including, planning, project cost, scope definition, stakeholder engagement, risk and issues, project reporting, team/resource management, and project close out.
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders to ensure expectations are met and managed.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, and the ability to establish and follow lean processes to ensure high productivity.
  • Experience in delivering both SDLC and Agile projects
  • Previous experience working in a retail environment or within a large complex organisation is a huge bonus
  • Previous Line Management Experience
  • Experience in delivering both SDLC and Agile projects

 

 

 

Good things you’ll need

 

  • Over 6+ years in project management or senior delivery roles.
  • Successfully delivered complex enterprise integration projects
  • Retail domain experience – preferred
  • Proven Project Management skills managing Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Communication, Risk, Procurement, Stakeholder Management and Integration
  • Behavioural skills driving successful project management:  senior stakeholder partnership, judgement, accountability, learning agility
  • Formal Project Management accreditation (Desirable)
