About the role
The purpose of the Child and Family Practitioner position is to provide a high level of skilled casework support and supervision to the placement of children and young people in a family-based care arrangement and outreach style support to young people in the community. Casework relating to Carer support and Regulation of Care is also a focus. Due to continued growth, we have multiple positions available for candidates who want to make a difference in the lives of the clients we serve.
The role of the Child and Family Practitioner will work in partnership with the foster carer, children and young people, relevant government agencies and stakeholders to develop and implement individualised care plans to ensure the relevant standards of care required by QLD government are always met and to give priority to the protection and well-being of children and young people.
We have permanent and contract opportunities available, and are open to discussing part-time, or full-time hours. The roles are based at our office in Robina. However, due to COVID-19 we are currently working a combination of at home and in the office until further notice. A Tool of Trade vehicle (including fuel card) will also be allocated to the successful candidates.
Please note: The successful candidates may be required to participate in an on-call roster.
Skills & Experience
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
