About the Job
The Centre for Forensic Behavioural Science (CFBS) is Australasia’s leading centre for excellence in the areas of forensic mental health and forensic behavioural science research, teaching and practice development. We bring together academics, clinicians, researchers and students from a variety of disciplines, including psychology, psychiatry, nursing, social work, law, occupational therapy and epidemiology. Our centre is seeking a suitably qualified academic to teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in Forensic Psychology and Forensic Behavioural Science.
As the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Forensic Psychology you will develop a research program and attract and supervise postgraduate students. You will assist in the development of research and teaching initiatives within the CFBS.
This is an opportunity for an experienced academic to be involved in transferring academic and clinical excellence into practice in the forensic mental health, forensic behavioural science and/or correctional psychology fields.

About you
To be suitable for the role you will have:
- Doctoral qualification in Psychology
- Ability to design and conduct independent research projects
- Track record of publications in relevant areas and a demonstration of ongoing research activities within the field of forensic mental health, correctional psychology, or forensic behavioural science
- Experience and expertise in tertiary teaching that may include a record of co-ordination and curriculum development
- Ability to teach courses in forensic mental health, correctional psychology, or forensic behavioural science
- You will be trained in clinical/forensic psychology, have practical experience as a psychologist, and be eligible for registration in Australia and endorsement in clinical and forensic psychology
