About the role

Working within our Lifestyle Program, you will assist our clients to achieve their own personal goals. You may be required to support clients one-on-one in their homes or take them out into the community. This program runs Monday - Sunday between the hours of 8am - 6pm. Our community program clients are based in Ulladulla. 

Working across our Supported Independent Living Homes, you will work directly with clients in their own homes, supporting them with domestic duties, meal time management plans and day to day supports. This is a 24/7 rotating roster Monday - Sunday, where you will be required to work a range of shifts including sleepover shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day to day care (including personal care) and supervision
  • Provide direct quality support to clients in line with their specific support needs, including administering medication and manual handling
  • Follow person-centered support plans and behaviour support plans respectfully
  • Participate in community activities and encourage clients to perform daily living tasks
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with our clients and their families
  • Documenting & Progress Note keeping

Skills & Experience

  • An unrestricted driver’s licence
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Sound computer, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adhere to client support plans and complete documentation

To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical exemption certificate. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
