About The Role
Role Location: Melbourne or Sydney
Role Type: 12-month fixed term contract, Full time
You will play a key role in driving the delivery of Workstream 1 which is an important part of the Procurement transformation program. Workstream 1 will deliver the future Procurement operating model and global service framework. We have recently undertaken a comprehensive review of our procurement capability and are embarking on an exciting transformation program which has the sponsorship of the Executive Steering Committee. We are looking for a proven delivery manager to join us on this journey.
Your key priorities and responsibilities include:
- Optimising and adjusting workstream activity to deliver the objectives of each workstream and in conjunction with workstream sponsors and the Group Procurement Leadership Team
- Provide effective and appropriate leadership to the delivery team
- Creating the appropriate workstream structure and management processes to enable successful delivery,
- Lead and coordinate workstream delivery and governance activities i.e. procurement, interdependencies, stakeholder engagement, risk management, resourcing, scope management, scheduling, value, change and quality management,
- Monitor workstream performance
- Assure workstream quality
- Monitor value realisation of workstreams to ensure they remains strategically aligned to the program goals
- Ensure outputs and outcomes of workstreams are effectively communicated and considered to effectively optimize the pursuit of its intended benefits and add value,
- Communicate with and report to stakeholders to provide an integrated perspective on all activities being pursued within the workstreams
- Proactively access and respond to risks and issues spanning the workstreams
- Understanding delegation and decision making rights and communicating to team
- Establish Exit Criteria and Change Health Check requirements to be utilized by each workstream
- Procure appropriate resources to achieve objectives in required timeframes
About You
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- An understanding of the end-to-end source to pay procurement process with particular detailed knowledge of the source to contact process
- Deep understanding of the procurement operating environment (procurement, business, legal, finance and suppliers) and processes, including DFA and risk control environment
- An understanding of the total spend life cycle from sourcing to enabling the effectiveness of the purchase to pay capability (automated & touchless processing, guided buying, independencies to the sourcing strategy and contract set up)
- An understanding of the strategic capability underpinning the practical operationalisation of category strategy, including source to contract management, value delivery and risk management
- Strong communication, facilitation, interpersonal skills including a good level of influencing ability with a wide variety of internal stakeholders related to the workstreams e.g. team members, sponsors, vendors and executives and external stakeholders
- Experience with Agile project methodology with an ability to work with multiple stakeholders and to quickly instil trust and confidence
- A flexible, reflective, entrepreneurial and adaptable working style (able to work in ambiguous, fast paced, continuous improvement and cross-functional team environments)
- Manages to deliverables and milestones on time/within budget/meeting business needs coupled with an ability to motivate and mentor delivery team members. Team-oriented and actively foster an inclusive, collaborative work environment.
- Leads the change to ensure stakeholders are aligned and mobilized to support the change. Champions the change road map to ensure employees are ready, willing and able to consume the change
