About the Role
As the Postdoctoral Research Fellow, you will be conducting research for an ARC Discovery Project with the project team. The primary aim of the research is to develop a new theory for the analysis and design of networked repetitive control systems and will contribute to the University’s research in advanced manufacturing.

In this role, you will conduct independent research, work collaboratively with other staff in the Engineering Technologies department as well as with outside collaborators, and progress towards building an independent research career. This role is expected to co-supervise PhD students, publish high-quality research journals and build collaborations with international research institutions.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
  • Excellent research track record and recognition for quality research outputs in control theory and its real time applications in robotics and mechatronics systems, evidenced by publications, development of new research initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills with a commitment to teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Ability to build effective networks with colleagues and industry.
  • Proven ability to supervise higher degree by research candidates.

Qualifications
  • PhD in a field relevant to control theory.
