The Team:
The team is diverse and dynamic containing a mix of Coles Team Members and vendor partners. With a strong mix of skills and experience the objective of the team is to provide world class support to our customers for all our systems supported.
The Role:
Reporting to the Operations Manager - Merchandise, you will be responsible for developing enhancements and system changes to our Merchandising, Fresh Produce and Oracle Retail systems.
As the Analyst Programmer, you will also provide operational support that includes fixing incidents, minor enhancements, manage environments and system changes. You will have the opportunity to be involved in the transition of project activities back in to the support team and gain a thorough understanding of Merchandising.
Weekend work will be required at times with the potential for after hour support rosters.
Responsibilities:
Provide programming and analytical support.
Produce technical designs for new and existing applications and develop system code that implements the design.
Perform technical tasks of systems deployment and support.
Identify areas of improvement in current procedures.
Flexibility to be able to work on critical issues until resolution is met.
To be successful, youll have:
Some previous experience as an Analyst Programmer in a commercial environment having supported and developed I.T. applications
Skills in Unix, oracle forms, reports, PRO*C, PL/SQL and Oracle Apex
Ability to perform Data analysis and test applications
Capacity to communicate well with stakeholders
