About the Role
Swinburne is embarking on an exciting journey, working towards our new vision of bringing people and technology together to build a better world. As the Scholarly Resources Project Officer, you will support the Scholarly Resources Team in acquiring and renewing scholarly resources and collections, and contribute to business improvement for procedure, workflows and service delivery. This position will also work closely with the Library Resources Analyst to review and enhance our data analytics, data collection and dashboards for Library resource statistics.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the rapidly evolving field of resources acquisitions, management and licensing while navigating the changing nature of scholarly publishing including Open Access publishing and Read and Publish agreements.

This position is part of the Library’s Scholarly Resources team and reports to the Manager, Scholarly Resources.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
  • Excellent administration, organizational skills and high level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and resolve problems effectively and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, to work independently, and to plan work activities under broad direction.
  • Demonstrated skills in developing and implementing business improvement systems and/or project management. Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, and collaborative online applications.

Qualifications
Completion of a relevant degree or other qualification with relevant work-related experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education or training.
