ABOUT OUR CHILD, YOUTH & FAMILY (CYF) SERVICES
LWB delivers a range of services for children, young people and their families, throughout Australia. We use Cornell Universitys Children and Residential Experience (CARE) model of practice to guide our work. Through ongoing training and support we use this model of practice to equip carers and staff to support children in a way that creates conditions for positive change.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Join our residential care programs South of the River (SOR) within the Perth, Mandurah & Peel region in these newly created House Manager role. Reporting into the Operations Manager for Residential Services, the House Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential house. Most importantly, you will ensure that we are creating a safe, culturally appropriate and healing environment for children and young people.
You will mentor a team of Residential Support Workers in providing purposeful support to young people in residential care, with high and complex needs. You will strive to enhance the lives of young people in a 24/7 residential setting, incorporating a therapeutic, trauma informed approach within the daily structure and purposeful programming. There is a strong emphasis on leading your team to provide a secure base for our young people within the home, liaising with culturally appropriate services, and providing opportunities for the young people to connect with the culture in which they identify within.
This Permanent Full Time position is a hands-on role with most time spent on-site in the home and 1 day a week in the office in Leederville office. Successful applicants will be required to undertake some early starts (7:30am) or later shifts to work afternoons when the young people are home. Some weekends may be required but the role will primarily be Monday - Friday.
The house is located in Fremantle.

All positions within Life Without Barriers will be required to undergo probity checks including criminal record checks and working with children check and DCP395 Child Protection Check.
