About the Child, Youth and Family (CYF) Program
LWB delivers a range of services for children, young people and their families, throughout Australia. We use Cornell Universitys Children and Residential Experience (CARE) model of practice to guide our work. Through ongoing training and support we use this model of practice to equip carers and staff to support children in a way that creates conditions for positive change.

About the Role
A new opportunity has become available for a House Manager to work within our Residential Care programs across the Goldfields. Reporting into the Operations Manager for the region, the House Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential house. Most importantly, you will ensure that we are creating a safe, culturally appropriate and healing environment for children and young people.
This is a hands-on role with most time spent on-site in the home and 1 day a week in the office in Kalgoorlie. This position is being offered as permanent, full-time position, with access to salary packaging. This role will include some shift work including afternoon shifts and occasionally weekends when required, with penalty rates applied to those shifts.
You will mentor a team of Residential Support Workers in providing purposeful support to young people in residential care, with high and complex needs. You will strive to enhance the lives of young people in a 24/7 residential setting, incorporating a therapeutic, trauma informed approach within the daily structure and purposeful programming. There is a strong emphasis on leading your team to provide a secure base for our young people within the home, liaising with culturally appropriate services, and providing opportunities for the young people to connect with the culture in which they identify within.
Please note: Successful applicants will need to be available to start training in the first week of December.
Skills & Experience
