About the Role

Support people with disability and complex health needs living in Support Independent Living in Rosebery.

You will have previous experience working with people with complex health needs and be confident with providing personal care and manual handling.

Candidates must be able to work the set roster line below:

  • Roster Line  (56 hours per fortnight):
    • Week 1: Tue 12-8pm, Thu 6am -2pm and Fri 12-3pm
    • Week 2: Tue 6am – 3pm, Wed 6am -2pm, Thu 6am – 3pm, Fri 12-3pm and Sat 7am – 3pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care 
  • Assist with mobility by lifting, transferring and hoisting clients
  • Follow person-centred and behaviour support plans
  • Support clients in achieving their chosen goals
  • Track and document clients changing needs
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, families and teams

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in providing personal care
  • Previous experience in working with complex health needs
  • An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.

To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.
