About the Role

Support people with disability living in Support Independent Living in Mascot. The people you will support display behaviours of concern and so, experience with positive behaviour support and behaviour support plans is required.

The successful candidate must be able to commit to one of the set roster lines below:

58 hours per fortnight:

• Week 1: Mon 6am-12:30pm, Tue 2 – 7:30pm, Fri 4-11pm, Sat 2- 7:30pm
• Week 2: Mon 11pm – 9am (active night), Wed 4- 11pm, Thu 1-7:30pm, Sat 5 -11pm, Sun 4 -8pm

58.5 hours per fortnight:

• Week 1: Mon 6am – 2:30pm, Tue to Thu 4 -11pm, Sat 5-11pm, Sun 4 -8pm
• Week 2: Mon 6am – 12:30pm, Tue 4-11pm, Wed 1:30-7pm

Key Responsibilities

• Actively participate in person-centred active support
• Understand and follow behaviour support plans
• Support clients in doing activities they enjoy to achieve their goals
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families and your team
• Advocate for client choice and control
• Assist in household chores (cooking and cleaning) as required
• Documentation and record-keeping

Skills & Experience

• Unrestricted Australian driverÂ’s licence
• Previous experience working with Behaviour Support Plans
• Confidence in working with behaviours of concern
• First Aid and CPR certificates
