About the role


At Coles our Distribution Centres play a key role moving products through our supply chain, to provide seamless in store experiences for our customers.

 

We’re looking for Team Managers to join our brand-new Automated Distribution Centre!

 

These are incredible opportunities to be involved in the commissioning of our second Automated Distribution Centre (ADC) where we’ll use world-class technology to modernise our Supply Chain.  Epic in scale and design it represents the future of logistics and, in this role, you’ll be part of the change from the ground, building your career along the way.

 

Located in Kemps Creek New South Wales, our new facility will deliver outstanding service level fulfilment to our stores. Critical to the site’s success, are our people who’ll enable day to day operations.

 

As Team Manager, your passion to lead and motivate others to grow, perform and develop will be highly valued and your ability to energise and empower your team will be essential. Importantly, you’ll lead by example, always keeping Safety and Compliance front of mind in your leadership.

 

Primary duties include:

  • Manage day to day operations within the facility, providing operational leadership, direction and support to team members.

  • Support in the review of process improvement and maintenance of operational activities to increase efficiency, service, safety and value.

  • Maintain delivery activity, taking corrective action as required.

  • Motivate, encourage, and challenge the team.

  • Conduct regular appraisals for team members to maintain high standards of performance and behaviours. Providing constructive feedback, coaching, and guidance to support professional development.

  • Enable an environment that adheres to Coles Quality, Compliance, Safety, Reliability and Cost requirements.

  • Support the implementation of change initiatives.

  • Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

About you and your skills

 

We are seeking those who have demonstrated experience working within supply, logistics and manufacturing operations, working with multiple groups to deliver end to end experience. You are someone that energises and enables the team to deliver with pride through your leadership. You’ll be invested in creating a great team and workplace culture that fosters growth and development for you and your team.

 

You will also:

  • Be experienced in leading team of 20+.

  • Be available to support PM operations from 3pm onwards. 

  • Have strong experience with performance metrics.

  • Be a strong communicator, able to convey the right message internally & externally.

  • Able to analyse data and drive data driven decisions.

  • Be capable of making agile decisions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with lean, six sigma processing principles.

  • Tertiary qualifications in lean, supply chain, manufacturing or logistics highly regarded.
