Casual & Permanent part time positions available for a Supported Independent Living home in Port Macquarie. Provide day to day care for residents whilst we support you to build your career in Disability Support!
About the role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred active support to people living with disabilities. The assistance you will be required to provide will differ on the support needs of each client, however, experience with personal care, manual handling, and behaviours of concern support will be highly regarded.
Due to the nature of our casual services, you will be required to work flexibly across a 24/7 roster and pick up a range of shifts including sleep over night shifts and weekends.
Our permanent opportunity is 55 hours per fortnight.
Week 1 Roster: Tuesday-Wednesday
Week 2 Roster: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday. These shifts include sleep over night shifts and weekends.
Skills & Experience
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.
