Working with the team in Glen Waverley, you will work to facilitate the delivery of quality services and achieve positive outcomes with and for the 5 clients within the house. This role involves working with clients with various complex medical needs and behaviours and will involve sleepovers. You will be responsible for providing support with activities of daily living and developing, implementing, and monitoring Individual Plans including personal care. In these roles you will work to facilitate the delivery of quality services and achieve positive outcomes with and for the clients within the house.

House Profile:

This is a busy house of 5 gents, they are looking for a staff member to support them with their growth, assist working through challenges and have some fun along the way. There is a wide range of abilities and supports so the gents are needing a staff member to be flexible and mould to the support needs of each person.

These roles are both permanent part time. Roster details outlined as fortnightly hours detailed below:

Roster Hours:

  • Roster splits: 65:30/69:30 – This roster is a mix of mornings, afternoons, some full days shifts, with some split shifts and 7 Sleep overs per month
  • Roster splits 49:30/54:30- This roster is full day shifts, some afternoon shifts and 4 Sleep over shifts per month.

Rosters are set in stone – There is no opportunity to request or be converted to, nor considered for casual work. Please request to view rosters prior to applying.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the day-to-day running of the house
  • Develop planned activities in line with policies and guidelines
  • Liaise with family members, medical services, departmental services, and external services to help meet client needs
  • Administer medication treatments and therapies according to prescribed protocols or otherwise, seek appropriate medical assistance

Key Requirements

  • A current Senior First Aid (level 2) Certificate
  • A current unrestricted Driver Licence
  • A commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs, skills, abilities and personal goals of people with disabilities
  • The ability to develop a positive relationship with service users and to support their Individual Personal Plan

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.
