The Trainee Dealer role reports directly to the Gaming Supervisor and offers an extraordinary opportunity to provide a positive and memorable guest experience.  This is a fantastic opportunity where you can learn a new skill set and enhance the table games experiences. 

Successful candidates will be provided with paid training starting on the 3rd September for part-time for 7 weeks (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday) or 24th September for full-time for 5 weeks (Monday - Friday). There are two training options; 10am - 6pm or 6pm - 2am, and attendance to training is essential to succeed in this role. 

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge and ability of the game(s) the Dealer will deal.
  • Comply with all relevant rules, policies and procedures as set out by The Star
  • Ensure that the integrity of the company and its assets are protected and maintained including licensing requirements
  • Report any disputes or complaints in a timely manner to the Gaming Supervisor or the Training and Development team

What are we looking for:

  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Maths, ability to tackle Mathematic problems without a calculator
  • Attention to detail & high level of concentration
  • Flexible availability to work across a rotating roster that will include nights, weekends and public holidays following training

You will need to demonstrate a commitment to providing a world class guest service whilst maintaining efficient and accurate operations of your designated table games. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the success of our table games operations at The Star Sydney.
