The Star Sydney is currently accepting applications for Inventory & Purchasing Officer.

There’s an exciting opportunity to join our Property Operations team to be responsible for the administrative requirements for the supply of inventory and contractor supply services. This role will see you supporting the critical management and delivery of the departments Procurement policies and procedures, Asset management, financial controls, plant and equipment reliability, overall property presentation and continuous improvement opportunities.

This is a permanent full-time position based at our Sydney property.

A few of your responsibilities

  • Liaise with internal and external business stakeholders to define process and handle account-related queries with diplomacy
  • Play a key role in maintaining financial budgets
  • Coordinate the purchasing, invoice receipting and accounts payable procedures, ensuring information accuracy via reporting systems (i.e., Maximo, Oracle, Converga)
  • Build and maintain key Supply account relationships
  • Manage all business unit Procurement needs
  • Consistently seek business procurement improvement initiative opportunities including supply chains, quality assurance and cost savings

What are we looking for?

  • Inventory Management, Supply Chain or Logistics experience preferable
  • Strong administration experience with proficient digital literacy (i.e. Maximo, Converga, Check SCM and Oracle)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with conflicting deadlines and stakeholders
  • High level attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to create close partner relations with various stakeholders
